Roger Federer picked up a pen and paper and began to write one of the most emotional letters of his life. "Get well soon, Marc, and let me know when you're ready and I'll play tennis with you," the 'gentleman' of the world of tennis wrote with great care.

Marc was informed that he has developped bone cancer. His life was in real danger if he did not act fast. There was little margin and a transcendental decision has to be made: amputate the right leg to defeat the disease. At all times he behaved like a very mature boy accepting the situation and showing what he is capable of without setting limits to himself. After the intervention, a prosthesis became his hope. His greatest wish was to enjoy his favorite sport again.

There was no time to grieve. His great idol in the world world, Roger Federer, had told him to play when he was ready and that was his great goal. Ten months of hope was enough to get him to the level of his teammates - impeded in the USTA League against rivals without disabilities - and notified the Swiss as agreed. Federer did not hesitate for a second to fulfill his promise and on September 4, 2017, he met Marc at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York. The Swiss was playing the US Open. Specifically, that day had to face the German Philipp Kohlschreiber in the round of 16 but before, he fulfilled his promise and received the young champion. In the words of the little one it was the happiest moment of his life and his story went around the world.

Taking advantage of the celebration of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell and thanks to the management of Iván Corretja, Marc visited the RCTB-1899 to meet in person his other great idol, Rafa Nadal. The Majorcan invited him to his practice session and played some very exciting points that made the child smile and left him an unforgettable lifetime memory.
